Our lectors proclaim the Word of God at all of our Masses – Saturday evening, Sunday, Weekdays, Holy Days, Marian Feast Days and Funerals. The goal for our lectors is to bring the Word of God to life.

This is a visible and essential role of service in the sacred liturgy.  From a spiritual perspective, Lectors should strive to live the Catholic Faith in spirit and in truth. Regular Mass attendance, daily prayer (especially meditation on the Scriptures and Eucharistic Adoration), regular Confession, and participation in faith formation and the life of the parish are key. Lectors must be 16 years of age and have received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
