Fr. Tomasz was born on June 12, 1978, in Bychawa, Poland, the second of five children. Raised in a family of deep faith, he was especially inspired by the example of his maternal grandmother and paternal grandfather. He served as an altar server in his home parish and, after beginning theology studies at the Catholic University of John Paul II in Lublin, discerned God's call to the priesthood and entered the seminary. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Lublin on May 29, 2004. Following his ordination, Fr. Tomasz served for eight years in three parishes in Poland. In 2012, he answered a call to missionary work, completing missionary formation in Warsaw before serving for eight years in Argentina, where he ministered in several communities and worked extensively with young people, sharing the beauty of the Catholic faith. In 2021, Fr. Tomasz came to the United States to continue his ministry while embracing the language and culture. He first served at St. John the Baptist Parish in Johnstown and, since 2023, has been the Parochial Vicar at Holy Name Parish in Steamboat Springs. Fr. Tomasz has a deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. His priestly motto, from Psalm 27, is: "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" His mission is to proclaim the Gospel of hope, especially to those who are weak or struggling in faith. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, hiking, and skiing.
