All Souls’ Day is a time when we offer prayers and sacrifices for the repose of all the faithful departed, with particular attention to the souls in Purgatory. It is a long-standing Catholic custom to visit cemeteries on this day and pray for the dead, commending them to God’s mercy. 

Following our All Saints’ Day celebration and ofrenda the day prior, we now turn in a special way to intercede for all souls. Today, we will offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for their repose, entrusting them to the love and mercy of God.
